It is the policy of Crawford County Open Records to answer as many open records requests as possible by electronic means. Subsequently, If you submit or intend to submit an Open Records Request by electronic mail, please fill out the Open Records Request form completely. Please ensure that your personal information, including email address is accurate. Include a detailed description of the Public Record you are seeking. If your records request is not specific enough, it will be returned as such and may delay your access to the record.
Please be aware that Crawford County Open Records is not a repository of birth records, death records, marriage certificates, and court-related records (both civil and criminal). "Court records" include such things as court orders, divorce decrees, sentencing orders, transcripts of court hearings, judgments, and the like. Criminal records are filed at the Clerk of Court’s office, and civil court records are generally filed at the Prothonotary’s office.
Please understand that if you request Court or Court-related records through Crawford County Open Records, your request will be returned as a misdirected request and this will slow your effort to obtain your requested record.
