GENERAL INFORMATION FOR SUPPORT SERVICES

Port Meadville Airport is a countywide facility located in Northwest PA three miles west of the City of Meadville with easy convenient access to Interstate 79 and State Route 322. The facility enjoys close proximity to the Cities of Erie, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Youngstown, Buffalo and several Keystone Opportunity Zones (KOZ). The Information Technology Office is focused on keeping county and department operations running and providing solutions that enhance productivity for the county and departments. The Crawford County ITS Office provides support primarily for the county offices and departments. The staff of 5 professionals handles 40+ Servers, 500+ workstations, and network equipment required to support the county departments and the Wide Area Network (WAN). The Maintenance department

The Print Room functions primarily as an in-house print shop, producing various government documents, business cards, brochures, transparencies, and scratch pads for the county departments. The Print Room also provides laminating, binding, and folding services to county employees and handles the office supply inventory of the courthouse.

The Voter Services department provides information and support for the General and Primary Elections held each year. ABOUT CRAWFORD COUNTY

The County of Crawford lies in northwestern Pennsylvania. Originally it was inhabited by the Iroquiois Indians and other tribes and nations. In later years, the land was acquired by a group of Dutch investors under title of the Holland Land Company and resold to settlers. The Commonwealth allocated land to its Revolutionary War soldiers as a bonus settlement. The county was formed in 1800 from a portion of Allegheny County and named after Colonel William Crawford, an early military hero and close friend of George Washington.
