The Crawford County Geospatial Information System (GIS) & Mapping Office is located within the Crawford County Courthouse in Meadville, Pennsylvania. The day to day operations include creating/maintaining GIS data and services, training county staff, and providing public mapping (digital and paper). 

The mission of Crawford County GIS is to improve on the effciency and effectiveness of the county government operations as well as provide easy to access information to the public and in those efforts, save tax dollars.

We provide maps of various sizes and geographic areas to the public, as well as various local, state, and federal government agencies. We can produce standard county maps, specific townships, or custom maps (some restrictions apply).  Any questions can be directed to the GIS & Mapping Office, located on the first floor of the courthouse in room 11 just past the security checkpoint at the front door (right side, beyond the metal detector). Phillip Baranyai - GIS Manager can be contacted via email or by contacting us via the information on the left. 

911 addresses are provided by the Department of Public Safety building located at 632 Pine St, Meadville PA.  For more information, please visit their website here.  No 911 addresses are issued at the Crawford County Courthouse.

ABOUT CRAWFORD COUNTY

The County of Crawford lies in northwestern Pennsylvania. Originally it was inhabited by the Iroquiois Indians and other tribes and nations. In later years, the land was acquired by a group of Dutch investors under title of the Holland Land Company and resold to settlers. The Commonwealth allocated land to its Revolutionary War soldiers as a bonus settlement. The county was formed in 1800 from a portion of Allegheny County and named after Colonel William Crawford, an early military hero and close friend of George Washington.
